Deleting Society: using automated surveillance systems to forget the present

Amsterdam (Netherlands) - Kroener, I (Lancaster University, United Kingdom).

Event name: The DigIdeas project and Living in Surveillance Society joint workshop.

Further to the number of people attending, this workshop allowed an opportunity to have our work reviewed by a number of experts in the field of surveillance and society prior to the workshop. The representative partners were included on a panel with two experts who peer reviewed an extended abstract prior to the presentation and provided feedback at the workshop.

The presentation was also opened up to the floor for discussion. The audience included those working in philosophy, sociology, criminology, computer science, and law.

From 7th November, 2011 to 9th November, 2011.
